Jackie Matubia reveals Charles Ouda worked on ‘Toxic’ before death

In an interview with Mungai Eve, Matubia revealed that she met Charles at lunch time on the day that he died.

The famend scriptwriter was engaged on Telenovela Poisonous which can premiere on April 17 and had simply submitted the third episode earlier within the morning earlier than their luch assembly.

“He (Charles Ouda) wrote the primary three episodes of TOXIC. He despatched the third episode the day he died.

“It took me time to open the third episode of Poisonous. He despatched it within the Morning, we met throughout lunchtime, He died that night time.” Matubia acknowledged.

Influence of Charles Ouda’s demise

She added that his sudden demise on February 03, 2024 was an enormous blow to her as a person and their venture as Charlie had promised that he would write one other present for her as soon as performed with ‘Poisonous’.

“That hit me as a result of I used to be like what am I presupposed to do now that he’s not right here? He informed me to push and that he would write one other present as soon as am performed with this Poisonous.” The actress revealed.

To see the venture come to life, Matubia revealed that she needed to search for a scriptwriter who would slot in the deceased’s sneakers.

“On Sunday he was to ship me 4, and on Monday he was to ship me episode 5. We needed to search for a script author like him, it has been a journey.” She added.

She recounted that the mourning interval have been the hardest two weeks of her life, noting that she even talked to his lifeless physique when she went to view.

The actress added that she resolved to not let the deceased’s efforts go to waste and powered on to see the venture come to life with April 17 being the date.

“After his burial I made a decision to not let his dream die, He would push you.” Matubia concluded.
